Ten Years Cyber Freight International!
Our CFI logo; Our colours, the purple and green and even more important our excellent reputation, all these combinations are our success!
Without exposure one can not achieve anything, but in fact it is the Cyber Freight team, in short the people that are awarding and create successful business.
By the people, we literally mean all the persons who shared information in the process of our ten years of growth. That seems a bit much and many people, but it is true.
People, all good people are for example our highly motivated staff, each and everyone of them yesterday, today and in the future, the people at customs, with the airlines and shipping lines, the people dealing with the IT, the people at the Rabo-Banc. The people working at organisations for logistics or airlines, the people being the wives and children of our staff and all the others I just mentioned.
The people be it our parents in law or my sister or our true friends and their children who worked in our warehouse if needed.
Very special are our customers, small, medium and large size customers, easy going and the demanding customers, all equally participated in our ten years of growing and we shared the good and the bad times. The People in the LINK organisation, each owner-member, or one of the people in their respective team, mean a lot for Cyber Freight and have been supportive to Cyber Freight.
Amongst LINK there are Companies with more history or longer existence like NAF Hong Kong last month celebrated 25th anniversary. It is all those specific people that make things happen and that are the ones you can rely on. I honestly knew nothing about organising a memorable moment about this, but was called downstairs a few hours ago. ALL and everyone at Cyber Freight surprised me entering the operations this morning. John gave a presentation reviewing ten years that had past and he peeked into our future, our bright future of Cyber Freight and LINK.
During these difficult times of economy, one wanders and has feelings of doubts, realizing what we have got and being afraid what to loose in the near future.
Being on the road, going on sales and meeting people, I realize that people are the difference to everything. There has to be that click, that momentum and the right timing, it is all about people in our Industry.
I honestly and sincerely wish to thank everyone I have met and dealt with, certainly those who we do business with, you gave us the chance and had confidence in our Cyber Freight Team.
It is people that we need and people that created our combined success and we are grateful for that. Cyber Freight is confident for our future and together we will do all possible to make things work between our relations, of which an important part are our clients. We hope we can look back after another ten years to a fruitful and successful period coming up ahead of times.
We thank each and everyone who dealt with Cyber Freight International at the start or recently and even more in the future.
We can and will prove to you that Cyber Freight and LINK are the best in this world you can get and that we nurse this dearly.

24/7 is not just words at Cyber Freight in the Netherlands
A good client of Cyber Freight and NAF Hong Kong moved a 40Ft high Cube Container with DVD players. An important large size order in these slow times, therefore crucial for our client and therefore also for NAF and CFI.
Prior to shipping (by sea) all transfer times , departures etc have been taken into consideration, even airfreight was an option.
However it started by Maersk off loading the container at the last minute during the week-end loading of the vessel. It was Monday late afternoon that NAF people got to learn about the off-loading and Maersk had loaded the container on the next vessel, departing only 2 days after. The first port of call was Bremerhaven (Germany) and next Rotterdam-port. However the arrival date for Bremerhaven was acceptable and even the original arrival date in Rotterdam port was tight but workable. Friday 16th October.
After departure from Hong Kong all went different, the vessel delayed, at Bremerhaven Maersk could not get the container out due to 58 moves that had to be made.
The ship was supposed to sail from Bremerhaven Saturday 17th October and arrive Sunday early morning 06.00 local. Cyber Freight planned staf and opened facilities for Sunday and if possible Sunday night until next morning Monday 06.00 am when the trucks needed to pick up the cargo for delivery in all of The Netherlands in 26 different shops.
Finally the ship was delayed again and only arrived 15.30 pm afternoon, Cyber Freight loaded the truck at 08.30 pm and the container arrived at the warehouse 09.30 pm, the 40Ft HQ was empty within one hour and a team off people (14) including the owner of the client and Jacques, Frank, John Arie worked all through the night until 05.30 a.m. Monday to be ready just in time.
The consignment were loaded and delivered all on Monday. Mission completed successfully.
Personally I can tell you I was dead tired, my body stiff, every muscle aching, but felt good.
I think this showed commitment, brings the relation with the client even closer, but also improves the relation between the staff.
I thank all my staff and everybody that was helpful that night, great guys!

We can assure our customers that there’s a drastically diminished chance for pilferage or theft at both sides, as the shipments are taken well care of from door to door by staff of LINK members only.
The majority of cargo shipped will already be known, because of the client LINK members existing relation. This dedication also makes it possible to answer to your special requirements for which we can make you a tailor made quotation.
The routing of your freight will begin at your warehouse or your supplier and will be transported to our warehouse in The Netherlands direct.
From our warehouse, the goods will be loaded into our exclusive LINK container and the container will be delivered to the terminal of the shipping line where it’s loaded on board the vessel. From arrival at the East Coast of the US, American Cargo Express will collect the container and bring it into their own warehouse at Elizabeth, NJ where the goods will be off-loaded. Depending on the wish of the customer your cargo can be re-forwarded in bond to a CFS where the ultimate consignee can have the shipment customs cleared by his customs broker or we can clear through customs and deliver directly from Elizabeth, NJ to the ultimate consignee at final destination.

Cyber Freight runs a cargo- charter for Svitzer Salvage!
On Wednesday evening August 19th 2009 the first call came in, we have been working on it during that evening and were on standby that night.
The next morning Frank was on the phone with carriers, charter parties, Svitzer, trucking companies etc..
Consult, meetings, deadlines and what all, needed to be taken in account.
The challenge for Svitzer Salvage was a vessel that had run on a reef near Santa Dominica, Dominican Republic in the Caribbean. The m/v Harms had to be brought afloat before the next big storm would arrive.
Should we take the option to depart from Maastricht or Ostend or an airport somewhere in France?
Would Svitzer need 15 tons of equipment or close to 40 tons, a considerable difference in cost. In addition the weather forecast predicted another storm in the Caribbean, Svitzer has to move fast.
Airline authorities, customs, trucking, flight details all has to be arranged in a short period of time. This is a nice challenge in these slow and less exciting times both for Svitzer as well as Cyber Freight.
We also enjoy it because it means new and great exposure for Svitzer Salvage.
Now it is Thursday evening, the schedule is departing Friday evening 00.00 hours ex Vatry, France.
The trucks were loaded professionally during the night of Thursday and Friday and arrived safely at the airport of departure Vatry, East of Paris.
Friday August 14th, 01.00 hour,a DC10 departed from Vatry to Santo Domingo and arrived Saturday morning. The salvage equipment was quickly unloaded and moved to the site. Sunday afternoon/evening the ship was freed and the mission completed.

Business is expanding between Saudi Arabia and Europe, opportunities arise for LINK partners with there new partner in Saudi Arabia.
Al-Barrak shipping Agencies has a freight forwarding division named Celerity Shipping & Forwarding. Mr Mark Fernandes is business development manager with Al-Barrak.
We start receiving more and more request for exports from Europe to Saudi Arabia by ocean, but also by airfreight.
The people working at Al-Barrak and Celerity are communicating at a good level and prompt in their response.
Cyber Freight has a few customers who started to import from Saudi Arabia into The Netherlands, basically by ocean freight, but also some smaller shipments have moved by air.

Cyber Freight International does not celebrate its ten years anniversary. (1999-2009)
After internal discussions, we jointly decided to cancel our ten years party in November 2009.
Our first quarter the results were down but not bad at all, however the second quarter appealed to be better and they were indeed better for some Cyber Companies, but some also had less results then expected.
Competition is seriously tough, many freight forwarders are flushing the markets by being very aggressive and active, much more then generally has been the case for the past few years.
Every day warning statements are announced about financial risks, Companies can not pay the bills, but recently it starts to become a daily reality, more then an exception.
We once more announce to everyone out there; “Be careful with your money!”
The original party was not for our staff, it was our staff that wanted to share our mutual success and show our new Schiphol facility with pride.
Altogether it seems to drain to much energy, too much money and will give away the wrong signal to everyone.
Cyber Freight is supporting as many relations possible in different ways and is kindly requesting loyalty and support from all of its relations in return.

Saudi Arabia, Al-Barrak Shipping Agencies joined the L.I.N.K. network.
Mr. Mark Fernandes, an amicable man, who represented Al-Barrak well at the AGM in San Antonio.
It is good to have a representative in a country like Saudi-Arabia, which is definitely opening up, it gives the L.I.N.K. network a step ahead of competition. By the meetings I joined in with Mark Fernandes there is many opportunities to develop business lanes with various members. For one Europe does brings in a lot of machinery and cranes, caterpillar, excavator equipment etc..
Al-Barrak also has good office in Bahrain and may apply for affiliate membership in Bahrain.
The Cyber Freight Rotterdam office can be a good point of collection for exports from all over Europe ( Mid, South and Central) to ship out FCL.LCL, oversize and Open Top containers or Break-Bulk and even full charter-vessels to Saudi and Bahrain.
The expertise is there and many trucks arrive daily from within Europe to the Rotterdam-port, so do barges and railway connections.
Both Al-Barrak Shipping and Rutherford Global Logistics (RGL) will be able to benefit from the new membership of RGL in Canada.
We hope to see Mark next year in Hong Kong and trust they will rank at a higher position within the L.I.N.K.group.
Seramusa Company in Peru, Mrs. Rosario Delgado.
This beautiful country in Latin America is able to generate considerable cargo. The presentation and determination of Mrs. Rosario Delgado is impressive.
Seramusa is our Peruvian L.I.N.K. partner and I am sure that most of the members will try and start communicating with her and her team. Reading the book about Peru, given by Rosario, I would think that most of the cargo will be import into Peru. Imports rose by 29 percent and exports by 3percent this summer.
Main trading partners are USA, China and Switzerland.
Brazil, Mexico and Japan are also considerable trade lanes.
We wish Seramusa a prosperous period to come and a successful integration will a majority of the L.I.N.K. partners around the world!

You can read more about Rutherfords history on the website www.rutherfordglobal.com Canada for a long time has been a white spot for the L.I.N.K. organization and it is partially for that reasons why we are proud to announce and welcome Rutherford into our global L.I.N.K. Family.
Patricia Horan, general manager International, gave an impressive presentation at the AGM in San Antonio,Texas.
It is obviously the vision within RGL and the determination of Patricia and Karl-Heinz Legler, General manager, to find long term partnership in a network group of agents that aim for increase of business and provide high quality service.
Since it is my personal belief that Canada is coming up as a re-born economy, there will be a great potential for future growth and therefore advise you to jump onto that wagon and support Patricia and her team to move forward together.
We know the potential of the L.I.N.K. organization and we trust RGL has great potential and it is that combination which will create the X-factor for success.
It is up to each individual partner to start communicating with Rutherford people and set things in motion. Patricia and Karl-Heinz are highly motivated and will for multiple reasons grab this challenge with both hands and inform their entire team to give priority to this new partnership.
Next year RGL will be positioned solidly on the League Tables of performance and consequently be voted in as our Full member of L.I.N.K. and hopefully the white spot has changed into a positive hot spot.
TopStar Cargo Systems Bangladesh,
Mr Nasir Uddin and Mr Harun-ar Rashid attended the L.I.N.K. agm in San Antonio. Their presentation about Bangladesh and the TopStar Company was well prepared and left an excellent impression to all members.
The presentation reflects the way of professional working by these two gentlemen and their respective teams. Although TopStar only recently joined the L.I.N.K. group, they already routed considerable business to various members and each of those members compliment Topstar on their excellent communication skills.
It is without saying good to have a L.I.N.K. member on that level in a country like Bangladesh.
We wish entire team of TopStar a good year and see you in Hong Kong.

Our good reliable partner is ACE is American Cargo Express, Mr Lloyd Burke and his highly motivated team.
Cyber Freight has twice per week airfreight consolidation moving to Amsterdam (Schiphol).
Ace has their own warehouse and are officially CT/PAT Certified and are member of L.I.N.K. agentnetwork.
We have a nice package of customers based in and around Chicago and therefore regular frreight moving between our respective offices. The majority is exports from the Chicago Area, both air and ocean Freight.
Our strenght is we offer a flexible service, which may vary on the customers request and both sides keep a very close eye out on the freight movements, untill delivered at destination.
At Cyber Freight we are able to add value to your shipping process;
Offer ad-hoc taylor-made storage options, short and long term storage, bulk, per location, outsized or valuables.
We are widely experienced in neutralizing shipments, remove lables from boxes in the proper way, re-lable and re-pack if required.
Arrange quality checks after being trained by our dear customer, palletize or break down and built up on different type of pallets for delivery to specific warehouses in The Netherlands.
Larger size shipments or higher tonnage is our core business and yet never a routine, but we ARE less expensive then the general integrator, who by the way have to fill and fly their own planes first.
In general integrators are at plus 80 kg considerably more expensive then Freight Forwarders.
At destination the Integrator generally does not handle their own Customs-brokerage and do not store in their own warehouse-sheds.

American Cargo Express-USA
Almost five years back ACE joined the L.I.N.K. global agentnetwork. They were mainly focussed on ocean and imports. Lloyd Burke usually joins the Annual meetings, he is running the Chicago office, they recently moved into new fine looking facilities.
Rick Trizano, one of the main shareholders, is confident about the future of ACE and our L.I.N.K. network, therefore he continues to invest financially but also directs his energy to focuss on global interests. Our partner in India had encountered a tight and sudden situation but Rick, Lloyd and the entire team did not hesitate to support FlyJac our partner. Only just beginning to know eachother, Rick hired experienced people who are specialist about the Indian business. They also hired export orientated staff and Jerina Morris is the export supervisor for the entire Company. She keeps training people, supporting them and is pushing the carriers for better rates, waving with tremendous statistics on their exports to India.
My visit was well prepared, we visited many customers and prospects, we visited Dutch promoters of the Port of Rotterdam and the Dutch consulate. Undersigned presented and met with all people in Newark, JFK, Chicago.
We learned from our customers how tough the
new CTPAT restrictions (in the Netherlands AEO) are; Long delays, high additional charges, despite American Cargo and those particular customers being fully certified(CTPAT), no advantage at this point, more a matter of survival and clearly an obstruction of free trade.
I guess we have to stick together and jointly live through this nightmare of the consequence of 9-11, I just hope we do not look for 100 percent security, because we will never be able to achieve that.
Ace is communicating with many of the members and establishing traffic with more and more members. This week business with our Romenia(GTI) member and Venus Internatinal Transport in Egypte became a fact.
The new director of business development Mr David Schlenger used to work for a Broker and he will be able to provide us with his resources, combined with his detailed knowledge on the import business.
Uwe Ratzmann is responsible for developping business between Europe and USA.
We both agreed to promote air and oceanfreight service from the States to Europe, but at the same time will invest in setting up an excellent door to door service,
oceanfreight LCL highlighting, from Europe to the USA, using the port of Rotterdam as a gateway. Cyber Freight in Rotterdam will collect and load this box and American Cargo is able to offer inhouse customsclearing using their own Brokerage license and warehouses and trucks for local delivery with final consignee.
We have jointly prepared systems between Cyber Freight and American Cargo, such as providing exact status information on when for example the pick up will be and when the shipment arrives at Rotterdam port etc.etc.
Cyber Freight will prepare all documents and double check the available cargo for damage-pilferage and quantity, before shipping.
